Customer support suite with Freddy AI
Freshdesk is Freshworks’ customer support platform offering ticketing, live chat, and Freddy AI for automated responses. It targets SMB and mid-market support teams inside the Freshworks ecosystem, and is built around ticketing rather than guiding users in their own language.
Freshdesk is Freshworks’ help-desk suite, so teams searching for a Freshdesk alternative are often after just one piece of it — a capable chatbot widget for the website — without adopting the whole ticketing platform and its ecosystem. Freshdesk’s Freddy AI is built around routing and resolving tickets, which is valuable for a support team but heavier than necessary if your real goal is to help users get answers and find the right feature.
Companin is that focused piece. It is a chatbot widget you add to any site with one line of code, and it immediately answers free-text questions from your own content and guides users to the right feature. It replies in 14 languages and switches to each user’s automatically — broader, lower-effort multilingual coverage than configuring Freddy’s self-service per language.
If you already live inside the Freshworks ecosystem and need full ticketing, Freshdesk is the natural choice. But if you want a multilingual chatbot widget that is live in minutes, EU-hosted and GDPR-compliant by design, and priced by usage rather than by support agent, Companin gives you the user-facing capability without the suite around it.

Freshdesk has a limited free tier and then prices per agent per month, with Freddy AI capabilities weighted toward higher plans — so cost scales with your support headcount. Companin is free to start with no credit card and prices by conversation volume, with all 14 languages, user guidance, and EU hosting included on every plan. For a team that mainly needs a website chatbot rather than a full agent help desk, that is a materially lower and more predictable cost.
Freshdesk is a capable help desk for support teams. Companin is built for your website’s users — multilingual guidance and instant answers, live in minutes.
