Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our service. By creating an account, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Use of the Service

You may use Companin's Assistant platform, which includes the API for creating and managing conversational assistants, the embeddable chat widget for integrating assistants into websites, and tools for adding knowledge data and connecting third-party services, in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to, attempting unauthorized access, reverse engineering, distributing malware, or using it in a way that could harm our systems or other users.

Account and Security

To use our service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

Connected Accounts

Our platform allows you to connect third-party services like Trello and Notion to provide data for your assistants. By connecting these accounts, you grant Companin permission to access and process the data necessary to enhance assistant responses. This data is used solely to power your assistants and is not shared with third parties for advertising or other purposes.

You can disconnect integrations at any time through your account settings.

Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, software, and other intellectual property associated with Companin's Assistant platform are owned by Companin or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of our service without written permission.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or pose a security risk. Upon termination, your access will be revoked, and your data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Companin's Assistant platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Companin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Assistant platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to us in the past 12 months, if any.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated Terms on our website or through the platform. Your continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
